Ten Central Londoners
by Sue Dorey and Simon Binning

Ten Central Londoners
Went out with Roger Cline
He shouted “Look - a Henry Moore”
Then there were nine

Nine Central Londoners
Warned “roughstuff!” - but too late
Sue said “I don’t do tracks - goodbye”
Then there were eight

Eight Central Londoners
Simon was in Heaven
His pub served dodgy local beer
Then there were seven

Seven Central Londoners
Ken was riding fixed
He fell off once - he fell off twice
Then there were six

Six Central Londoners
Dave Kurtz didn’t skive
He rose from two to three star rides
Then there were five

Five Central Londoners
Cycling with Paul Lohr
He cried “My chainstay’s come apart”
Then there were four

Four Central Londoners
With Nick, our secretary
He disappeared to have a fag
Then there were three

All Central Londoners
Hail the Flanders Three
The mud and cobbles don’t scare Keith
Or Steve, or Naomi

Three Central Londoners
Snuggs was not amused
“There’s no coathooks in this pub!”
Then there were two

Two Central Londoners
Rode out for 4 star fun
Paul Foster’s handlebar broke off
Then there was one

One Central Londoner
Richard’s left crank snapped
He rode one legged back alone
Good thing he had a map
