I met Rory at Golders Green, Angela set off before us from Tally Ho, and we met Nick Dean at Barnet Hill.
Off to Hertford North (the cafe at the station has been revamped, and veggies can now NOT enjoy the bacon rolls. Seriously, it is a lot better).
Roger and Kay, david Colussi and Derek Chiles arrived and we were off to Westmill - Rory decamped after 15 minutes to go back to the Freewheel.
Brunch at Westmill, packed out in beautiful weather with Verulam CC.
Then Angela went back, and the rest of us went on route up to Cambridge and back - Roger and Kay going off by themselves near the Pelhams. I showed the North Americans and Nick a nice tea at Braughing Church Hall,and then Nick went off. Just me and the 2 North Americans did my “home”
circuit showing them where I was (partly) brought up,, then Hadham Cross, dropping in at a Studio open day (interesting sculptures) and then Barwick Ford (look at alpacas) and then long way back via Datchworth etc.
Total distance from Hertford North - Hertford North 120 kms - total for me 172kms.
