Paul’s retirement

After many years of fine work, Paul has finally been allowed to pass on responsibility for putting together our rides list. Most other clubs, at best, publish a simple table of rides, an uninspiring document often somewhat opaque, promising monotony. Thanks to Paul, Central London is different (we usually are). I have lost count of those from other groups who have fingered our rides list in rare wonderment, a mythical tome. Through chivvying and chasing, poking and prodding, Paul has brought on new leaders, linked up with new groups, found new descriptions for habitual haunts. And he has done this with style, charm and humour.
We’re not really letting him go, we’ll be relying on his help and advice for a good while yet. But now the Rides List is to be co-ordinated by Abby Honeywell, and assembled by a team of helpers - you’ll soon hear from them as we gather the next crop. It may be a hard act to follow, but with all your help we will try.
