Forgotten posts …

Here are a couple of reports that I intended to post earlier but that got overlooked:

6th September: Botolph Claydon, British Time Trial Championships

An extraordinary day: Geoff and I went to see Bradley Wiggins beat Michael Hutchinson over 50km on a course on the Aylesbury plain, further west and north from our usual Chiltern rides although we’ve been round here before with John Snuggs and could do with a repeat visit.

25th October: North Road CC Hill Climb

What’s the stupidest thing you can do on the day the clocks go back (apart from not going on the Stevenage Audax)? No, not forgetting – but putting the clocks forward, so I got up two hours early. Still, very few cars out that early, and I had a nice ride from Hertford North up to Digswell Hill as the sun came up. I did a 3m 20s, 18 seconds better than three years ago when George, Ben and Linus did it with me – an improvement, even if the wind was behind me.

Then on to a traditional cycling club tea and cakes (lots of) at the North Road CC’s President’s house nearby.
