Five Countries Tour   –  5-14 April 2012

From Maastricht in the far south of the Netherlands) to the historic spa town of Aachen. Criss-cross the German, Belgian and Luxembourg borders through the Eifel, Haute Fagnes/Hohes Venn and Südeifel national parks. Hilly and quite thickly wooded in places, with castles galore and some fine views.

Later in the week we reach the Roman city of Trier on the Mosel, famous for its vineyards. Then on to Luxembourg city, capital of the Grand Duchy. Finally cross into Lorraine and reach its capital, the cathedral city of Metz, also on the Moselle.

Train travel to Brussels with onward connection to Maastricht and return from Arlon via Brussels or Metz via Paris.

Welsh Borders Tour   –  5-9 April 2012

Our traditional Easter Tour will be going to Shropshire, Herefordshire and the Welsh Marches. Startiing from Ironbridge, the cradle of the industrial revolution, there are Marcher castles, half-timbered villages, historic country houses and some hills in between. Two-star paced.
