Tours in France – Summer 2010
29th May – 5th June Paris –Drôme
After taking the Eurostar to Paris and a train to the outskirts of Paris, cycle about 80km per day along the Yonne river and through the Morvan National Park to the Loire river before crossing over the Haut Vivarais to the Drôme valley. Some days will be very hilly.
We will be camping or staying in small hotels and B&Bs.
Return by TGV train from Valence to Paris and Eurostar train to London or continue onto the Tour de Drôme.
5th – 12th June Tour de Drôme
From the town of Crest in the Drôme valley there is a wide variety of rides from the gently sloping Drôme plain and the hills of the Drôme Provencale to the steep gorges of the Vercors.
Travel by Eurostar and TGV trains via Paris to Valence. Return to London or continue onto the Tour du Vercors.
12th – 19th June Tour du Vercors
Based in a broad valley in the heart of the mountainous uplands of the Vercors, staying in a gite in the village of Meaudre.
Travel by Eurostar and TGV trains via Paris to Grenoble.
All three tours will be of 'two star' grade. The Drôme and Vercors Tours include accommodation, meals provided by Sylvie and recommended cycle routes by Dave.
